Celebrities are Real People

So. Big news. Last week, I was in LA, on a walk with Lady Di and Marko. We were walking through the hills and of course, I was looking in windows seeing if I can spot anyone famous. We were close to getting back to the house and we approaching Adrian Grenier’s house (that’s right…Nonni lives across the street from Vincent Chase from Entourage) and I was getting ready to keep a steady eye for a possible spotting and I saw two men running towards me. I thought, oh I will get out of their way. Suddenly as I am staring at them, one man says: Good Morning to which I reciprocate and then the other man says the same and as soon as they pass, I say to Marko and Lady Di, “did you see who that was?!” I had my very first real, classy celebrity sighting. David Hyde Pierce, Niles Crane on Frasier (one of my fave shows) and also the voice of a bug in a Bugs Life said good morning to me. The curse has been lifted and A list celebs now do not run from me.

Oh and check out that legit list I have going of celebrity sightings. Now, maybe Easter will be the day that I finally see Vinny Chase.

Catch Up

So, although I promised to be more on top of th ings….again I fail. February did not start off on the best foot and that took a while to get back into the swing of things. Talk about the two longest weeks. But, we were able to get away and go to LA for the weekend and get what we all needed. We were doted on by Nonni (more so dad was doted on, the rest of us just went along for the ride), played some Holiday Classic soccer, got in some legit R&R, and of course, some yummy yummy food. It was the good life!

Now, things have finally settled down and we have found normal again…so now on to the hip hop happenings in the celebrity world and beyond!

Spinning as a fall-back career?

During Spin class, as we add resistance and "climb" I constantly glare at the instructor and critique their music and attire. Then one day it donned on me. The male instructors more often than not wear sleeveless bike jerseys and play sappy music (maybe that is just at Gold's but I have yet to find a male instructor who has a sa-weet playlist) and I thought who else does that. Former boybanders. Think about Justin Timberlake and NYSNC and Backstreet Boys and all the others circa 1998...they loved sappy music (obviously) and were very in-tune with their physique. So are male spin instructors! It all makes sense to me now!

I give you this challenge when you are spinning next time and you will think, ah yes, she's right. It does not happen often so please give this to me.

Kudos and Boos 2010 version

For the first time this year...Kudos and Boos!

Kudos: Golden Globes. This is one of my favorite award shows because they are all drinking! Also, special kudos shout out to Juliana Marguiles AND Sandra Bullock AND Glee!!! Well done peeps.
Boos: This weeks episode of the Office. I love this show. I can watch it over and over again. In fact, I am watching it right now. But I was looking forward to this weeks episode, and it just did not cut it : ( Let's hope next weeks is better!

Kudos: Hope for Haiti. They raised over 57 MILLION! way to be George Clooney! He rallied his homeslices together and did good!
Boos: Haiti aftershocks. First of all I am surprised that they are still going on. Secondly, if I had gone through that, aftershocks would scare the hell out of me.

Kudos: Conan O'Brien. Way to go out with style. I was rooting for the crazy red head even though his show was on waaaaaaay past my bedtime. Sorry Jay, it was your choice.
Boos: Desperate Housewives. What the hell, why is it not on tonight? Actually, sorry, it is. But at 10 (too late) and it's old. Also, I am still mad that they killed off Karl.

Happy Birthday KATE!

Today is the wonderful Kate's birthday! On Saturday, we had a sa-weet party for her...glitter was everywhere, pink was the color of choice, a legit pinata (I decorated it) was full of candy and Carly and I made a high-class obstacle course. The obstacle course was the hit of the day...it started out with teams of 4, first spinning with their head on a baseball bat 4 times around, then walking around some steaks in the ground with a small cup of water on the end of a painter's stir stick, then throwing 2 out of 3 pingpong balls in a basket, THEN chugging a beer (you could tag in a team member if needed) then walking with a book on top of your head to the porch. Just when you think it was over, we had a kicker...the team had to write out all 50 states. It was so fun and quite a hit.

O
f course the night ended with a trip to the Carlos Club but there was a private 40th Birthday party (Happy Birthday John, whoever you are) and so we went up the street to a hidden treasure, the Patio. We made some new friends, the best was an 80 year old woman named Mary who was Kate's no. 1 fan (but she did have some issues when I took a picture and the flash went off). Finally, when we bet that the party was almost over...or at least more people would be at the Club...we walked back over and took over the dance floor. God I love the Club. And Kate!

Fighting the Book

Last Sunday, I was playing on my compuper and tried to log into Facebook. It brought up another log in page, and so I thought I just mistyped the password. After a couple of tries, I didn't still could not log on and I read that my account was disabled. WHAT? I didn't do anything to "violate the terms of service" so clearly they made a mistake. I had to email them with my name, birthday and my email address. I figured I would be back on by the end of Monday.

I heard nothing from them for 2 days. Kate and Teresa were so concerned that they started a group: Dear Facebook, please give Julie Bonino back her profile. (They are so good to me.) I was starting to think that I would never get the book back, which I thought could potentially be okay (ive been meaning to cut back). I was thinking that it would make me last person to find things out...which i HATE being the last to know. But then, just as I was about to give up hope, I checked my email and a Facebook, someone has invited you to join this group....was there. Could it be? I tried to log in, and it said "incorrect email/password combination" So, again, I just thought I mistyped it. I tried again, but same thing happened. So I had them send me my password and then when I finally logged in, i found out that someone changed my name (Follow Us) and changed my profile picture to an animated girl with playing cards.

So here's my thought process on this...about 2 weeks ago, I got a confirmation email from PayPal telling me that $103.00 was charged to my account. I didn't do that. Someone hacked into my account. After I filled out a claim, they emailed me telling me it was accessed by a third party. Then, about 4 days later, I get rejected from the book. As a result, I have changed my passwords.

Now, I can be in those identity theft commericals becayse I AM a victim of identity fraud.

My Apologies

It has been quite a while since I last blog so I was encouraged to step it up. Quite a lot has gone on for the past month... Welcome Home Parties were thrown, illnesses occurred, Jobs started, Birthday parties were thrown, and oh, I got kicked off Facebook. It was quite a month.

So....let's recap, shall we?
