Kudos....the beautiful weather. Really makes it hard to sit inside and work when the sun was out on Friday! But spring has sprung today so that is always a good thing!
Boos...Jesse James. Poor Sandra Bullock! She was doing so well, and then just a week after getting the Oscar for Best Actress, she gets hit with this bombshell! And check out the homewrecker's photo on USMagazine.com...poor choices Jesse James.

Kudos...Christopher left on Tuesday to head East to Vail! He's really excited about this job, but for some reason didn't really think it through with respects to the weather...he is surprised that it is about 30 degrees. That sucks since we are in shorts over here.
Boos...Jason Wahler. Not only for being a sleeze to former gal pal, Lauren LC Conrad, but he was just arrested for the 6th time in just a few years. Not a good streak to keep going. Lock it up Jason!

Kudos...Parks and Rec. This is one of my new faves...and this week they had Andy Samberg on so it was even better!
Boos...Vanessa Hudgens. Just go away.

Post Master Gary

Most people hate going to the Post Office. The lines are always so long (especially at Christmas) and they are so slow and endless paperwork and then you have to wrap your head around the fact that the cost of mailing something plus your time is sometimes not worth it. Well, all of that goes to the enth degree when you have Gary helping you.

I am sure that P.M.G (post man Gary) is a very personable person...he has a very laid back demeanor, very chatty, and seems to be in his own universe. All the good elements for a compadre...but not when you are parked in a 20 minutes or less parking spot with Parking Nazi's all over the town (obviously San Carlos is in serious debt if they are going after every car that stays in a parking spot 2 minutes too long). You can hear the sighs when people see PMG chillaxing at his desk, chatting with customers and trying to sell every kind of stamp they have in stock.

Just a month or so ago, Carly went to the Post Office to mail a care-package to Dominica. She filled out the 20 or so forms and finally it was her turn to be helped, he asked her all these questions about the contents and even where the Brita Filter was made. Carly was so shocked that she turned around seeing if anyone else would laugh with her because who the hell cares where a Brita filter are made?! Oh and he asked her where hand towels from Target were made...Carly's response...Probably China!

He's definitely a well-known townie, because when telling me this story, I said, oh man Lady Di cannot stand him! And even fellow San Carlosian, Caitlin, she blurted, I HATE THAT GUY! Haha, so funny!

Let's begin a series...

I have decided to start doing some profiling pieces on some townies that you would know if you were a true San Carlosian (whether they are your faves or not) or you just know fellow San Carlosians!

I hope you are all enjoying your St. Patrick's Day today! I hope that If I were in Chicago the River would be green! But I am super glad I am not because then I would be missing this wonderful weather!

Heidi Montag

Well, if you saw the cover of People magazine a couple of months ago, you would have seen that she is "addicted" to plastic surgery. and they mean addicted. 10 surgeries in one day!? I cringe when I watch Real Housewives of Orange County and they are just sharpie-ing their face and then I change the channel when you see their faces all swollen and they can't really talk...even botox makes me antsy. But, anywho! Heidi Montag has "fired" her husband [Spencer] who was her "manager" (I put them both in quotes because, really did Spencer do anything to begin with and what task was he really fired from? Anyways....get this, she has hired a replacement for Spencer, and he is none other than a...psychic. She calls him an "intuitive psychic" and having him on her team (tell me who else is on this team? Besides maybe Spencer and his sister and maybe her sister too!) gives her an edge that no one else has. What does this psychic see in store for dear Heidi? Another hit song? Sorry, nix the hit. Another cat fight played out on TV? Perhaps better ratings for the next season of the Hills? Oh wait, I see how that can happen too, Psychic...Bring back LC!

I cannot wait to see what scheme dear Speidi has instore for us next!

Oh and One More thing...

Praise from the NY Times!! So if you have not watched it yet...you need to get out from under your rock and watch it. And I say that with love. : )

Yeah Yeah San Carlos!

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, you know that all anyone is talking about is the Hurt Locker. But more specifically, the history that was made last night with the Oscars and Katherine Bigalow taking home gold. Now, here's the best part! Bigelow not only proved her slimy exhasband that she was better but she's also a San Carlosian! That's right, she's from these here parts! Now according to Wikipedia (which Michael Scott tells us that it's reliable because it gets the best information from everybody), her mom was a librarian and her pops was a print factory worker. Was her mom working at the original San Carlos library OR does she still work there? I do have to go to the library tomorrow...maybe i should ask for Mrs. Bigelow!!

Kudos: Julia! Congrats on getting a job at JPL...Jet Proportions Laboratories!!! You are a superstar!!
Boos: Bachelor Jake. He has the season finale of the bachelor the SAME night as the newest cast of Dancing with the Stars was released. Seems like he went on the show for more than just a fiance. At this rate, I feel another Gossling-fame-hungry-celebrity-wannabe coming on. Watch out people.com! Bachelor Jake is here to stay!

Kudos: Bachelor Jason and Molly! Now, although I wasn't a fan of what he did in the season finale (dumped the one he did pick, Melissa something-or-other on live TV and picked his 2nd choice) I wasn't outraged because I don't care for Melissa something-or-other but I was happy when I saw that he and Molly got married! I think them and Ryan and Trista Sutter are the only ones actually hitched. I wonder if Bachelor Jake will make it to the aisle. Doubtful!!!
Boos: John Mayer...lock it up! He is just getting himself into trouble when he opens his mouth...save yourself the trouble and just stick to lyrics!

Kudos: Christopher got in the Vail Fire Program last week!
Boos: Christopher is moving to Vail in 3 weeks.

Kudos: The Olympians!! I admit I was not as good about watching them as I usually am (or at least with the summer olympics) but they done good! Not to shabby USA!
Boos: Kate Gossling. I thought for a second there we were relieved of this car-wreck and then I heard that she's going to be on Dancing with the Stars. I use the word Stars loosely in this cast. While I think it might only be encouraging this desperate attempt to fame, it would have been good trash tv if they put Jon on too. But, then again, I think that we have a little too much of that going on.
